The National Association of Mediators of Territorial Communities and Angers Loire Métropole have concluded a new partnership for the realization of the third edition of the International Congress of all mediations, which will be held at the Angers Congress Center from March 12 to 14, 2025, and who will benefit from the High Patronage of the President of the Republic. The ambitions shared by the organizers are even greater than in 2020 and 2022 in terms of number of participants, with a goal of more than 1000 delegates representing all families in the world of mediation, sharing of experiences, particularly international ones, and interventions by senior figures concerned with the amicable resolution of conflicts. All field mediators, whatever their field of activity and expertise, are witnesses to the growing desire of our fellow citizens to find spaces for peaceful dialogue, the search for listening and fairness, even though tensions are increasingly strong in our societies. This creates an urgency for us all to find together responses adapted to our areas of action and allowing us to be even more responsive to the challenges. The themes covered in the plenaries and in the workshops of these five half-days will focus as much as possible on concrete subjects, and focused in particular on the problems of the inhabitants of the most disadvantaged neighborhoods and territories and those furthest from access to rights. Exchanges between associations present in these sensitive sectors, elected officials in the field, the Defender of Rights and officials from the ministries in charge of these issues are also planned as part of the Congress. As in the two previous editions, the Exhibitors' Village will of course be an opportunity for meetings and dialogues around our practices, our training, our questions sometimes as they are discussed within the new National Mediation Council . These sharings, enriched by the diversity of our areas of action and the contribution of our friends from all the countries where mediators exist, are very important to further improve our organizations and our functioning. This Congress should thus make it possible to raise awareness among elected officials, administrative and judicial institutions, public and private companies, universities and also the media, of the importance of mediation to ease the tensions which are emerging in increasing numbers every day, and encourage all actors in our democratic life to become more involved and to create the function of mediator in their organization. Michel SAPPIN President of the National Association of Mediators of Territorial Communities
